Release of Generic Modbus driver

Modbus Protocol is a messaging structure introduced to the market by Modicon in 1979, used to establish master-slave/client-server communication between intelligent devices. Since Modbus protocol is just a messaging structure, it is independent of the underlying physical layer. Pro-face therefor offers a complete set of generic drivers which can be used in almost any multi-vendor configuration.
Protocol characteristics
- The function code and boundary required for communication can be changed according to the External Device.
- Through SIO: Up to 31 units of the External Device can be connected to the Display when one COM port of the Display is used.
- Support for both Modbus and IEC61131 syntax for variables are supported.
News
Recently our Generic Modbus driver has been updated to support Control Techniques profile for 32-bit addressing and the routing commands for CTNet Messaging Protocol (CMP).
